Russell's message yesterday was a great reminder of how to show that you are putting your hope in God. These final words from James 5 inspire us all to have an authentic faith. Now, for some things I wish I would have said.
- When we are generous, it's evidence that we are trusting God's provision.
- When we are patient, it is evidence that we are trusting God's timing.
- When we are prayerful, it is evidence that we are trusting God's goodness.
- We can't hoard wealth or mistreat others to buy hope.
- We can't fight against God's timing and live full of hope.
- We can't be prayer-less and hope-full.
- God's provision is always enough.
- God's timing is always perfect.
- God's goodness can always be trusted.
19 My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins. James 5:19-20
