Sometimes its the simplest of messages that have the most profound impact on our lives. Such was the case with yesterday's message. The story was simple. Angels announced that Mary will give birth to God's Son, the Savior of the world. The application was straightforward. Choose the chosen one. Live as though God is with us. Follow Him as Lord. This simple, straightforward talk encourages all to live a Down to Earth Lifestyle.
What is God's purpose for Christmas? God gave us His son, our Savior so that we can live with Him and for Him.
Now, for some things that I wish I said:
- Are we celebrating Christmas as a secular or a sacred holiday?
- God giving us His Son shows us undeniable love for us.
- God providing a Savior for us shows His relentless pursuit of us.
- God living with us shows His boundless grace.
- We work out our salvation. We don't don't work for our salvation.
- Working out salvation requires work on our part and on God's part.
