4 Things to Do to Live Humbly

Who is counting on you to make life not about you?  

Living down to earth humility requires our attention.  If we don't keep an eye on our lives and an eye on the life of Christ, we will fall into the faulty thinking that life is for us, by us, and about us.  Consider these 4 Things That You Can Do Today to live down to earth humility.

1. Read the Gospels to see how Jesus loved, valued, and served others.  See the personal love of Jesus through the Gospel of John.  Witness His powerful work and teaching through the Gospel of Luke.  Hear His powerful call to discipleship through the Gospel of Matthew.  Dig into His life through the Gosel of Mark.


2. Keep an eye on the condition of your heart.  When you find yourself fighting for your way or when you find yourself demanding action from others, pride could be a problem.  Remember, that God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.


3. Simple acts of submission keep your heart soft toward God and people.  Hold a door.  Look people in the eyes.  Say please and thank you.


4. Deal with entitlement.  When engaging in relationships asks this question:  What can I do to meet other's needs rather than expecting for my needs to be met.
