Things I Wish I Said, Habakkuk

Let's be honest.  Have you ever studied Habakkuk before?  Have you ever dug into the richness of the text to see how God answers our questions?  Have you ever been encouraged by the private dialogue between the passionate prophet and His God?   Odds are, you haven't.  Odds are, Habakkuk isn't your go to book for encouragement, strength, and hope.  But, maybe it should be.  Such a powerful message in just 3 chapters.  Such a good reminder that God sees, hears, and knows.  Such a good reminder that God is good and works according to His agenda on His timetable.

Now, for some things that I wish I said:
  1.   For many, the worst waiting room in life isn't the dentist office, but when we wait on God to  work.
  2.   "Waiting is never wasted when you are waiting on God."  Lon Solomon
  3.   If we refuse to wait, we will take life into our own hands.  We will trust ourselves instead of trusting God?  How's that workin' for ya?
  4.   When we learn to enjoy the the wait, we discover how to see our faith grow even in confusing times.
  5.   We can't force the hand of God to move, but we can encourage it.  God looks for the faithfulness of His people and His hand moves according to His agenda in the world.
  6.  God doesn't want to burden us with the timing of our lives.  He wants us to trust Him, instead.
  7.   God is worth waiting on.
