Taste of the Summit

Last Thursday, we gathered together for the Taste of the Summit Luncheon.  I look forward to this gathering every year as we see leaders from throughout our community grab a bite to eat and then dig into a leadership message together.  This year, we learned from Mark Miller of Chick-fil-A.  Mark told the Chick-fil-A story and how they developed their philosophy and plan for developing leaders. His teaching we engaging and easy to understand.

Here are my notes from Mark's message:

5 Leadership Essentials
Vision: See the Future
Engagement: Build the Team
Initiative: Reinvent Continuously (Self, System, Structures)
Raise Value: Value Results and Relationships
Live It: Embody the Values (Know, Share and Live Values
