Aware

One of the trends today in the general public and in the church is global awareness. Want an example? The crisis in Tibet will likely bring down the traditional passing of the Olympic torch. Rather than the torch symbolizing peace, the torch is reminding the world of injustices perputrated by the Chinese government. Years ago, we would not have know of these problems until they were in our rear view mirrors, but thanks to CNN and other news networks and sites, we have instantaneous info and we are spurred to action as a result.

This awareness will only grow as new technologies continue to emerge. Especially now that Google is getting involved. Check out this story on Googles new work to highlight refugee camps all over the globe. If information leads to action...look out.
