I love this post by Steven Furtick. Steven is the lead pastor at Elevation Church. He came on my radar screen about a year ago when he said he was boycotting Technorati. For whatever reason, this was picked up by hundreds of people online and he became the most searched for person on Technorati (a blog search engine) for over a week. Anyway, I have subscribed to his blog ever since.
This post hits a truth that I touch on in the last chapter of Connect the Dots. Sometimes, desert experiences or near desert experiences, in this case, are required for us to be who God wants us to be. To many times, we want to be where God wants us to be when what matters to God most is who we are wherever he puts us.
