The idea of impacting our city for Christ through multiple campuses is beginning to take off. The buzz among our staff and congregation is growing on a daily basis. Talking through this with everyone, I see some consistent trends that tell why people are so excited.
The trends center on two words IMPACT and COMMUNITY. Our church is genuienly excited about making a difference in the lives of people around them and they see Community Campuses as a way that they can significantly increase their impact because it is easier to invite a friend to a church 5 minutes down the road instead of 50 minutes down the highway. They also see campuses as an opportunity to connect to Biblical community with greater frequency and intensity. I like to say that people should not have to "commute to their community." If the buzz is any indication, our congregation agrees.
